Maxitrol Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the eye and adjunctive therapy in bacterial infections; they are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components, viral infections of the cornea, or fungal infections of the eye; common side effects may include eye irritation, burning, or stinging; and drug interactions can occur with other topical ophthalmic medications or systemic corticosteroids.
